A mutual fund is a portfolio formed with money collected from investors and managed by a portfolio management company. When you join the fund, you receive fund units that represent your share of this portfolio. The fund’s assets are separate from those of its founder.
1 indicates the lowest and 7 the highest volatility. The value is calculated from historical data and may change over time. Even the lowest value does not mean the fund is free of risk.
The value date is the date on which fund units are credited to your account for a purchase order, or the proceeds for a redemption order. It varies by the time of the order and by fund.
The prospectus is the official document that sets out the fund’s investment strategy, risks, and operating rules in detail. The Key Investor Information Document (KIID) is a short, comparable summary of the same information. Both are published on the Fund Legal Disclosures page.
You can track fund returns periodically through the Neo Academy tools, the fund comparison screen, and the fund returns page.
The management fee and other expenses borne by the fund are reflected in the unit price. Any entry or exit charges and performance fees are stated in the fund’s documents.
The return is the change in the unit price between two selected dates. The price is announced after the expenses borne by the fund have been deducted. For funds that distribute dividends, the amount distributed is added to this calculation separately. Withholding tax is not included in the calculation.
